چکیده
We present our prototypical tool for the verification of graph transformation systems. The major novelty of our tool is that it provides a model checker for temporal graph properties based on counterpart semantics for quantified μ-calculi. Our tool can be considered as an instantiation of our approach to counterpart semantics which allows for a neat handling of creation, deletion and merging in systems with dynamic structure. Our implementation is based on the object-based machinery of Maude, which provides the basics to deal with attributed graphs. Graph transformation systems are specified with term rewrite rules. The model checker evaluates logical formulae of second-order modal μ-calculus in the automatically generated Counterpart Model (a sort of unfolded graph transition system) of the graph transformation system under study. The result of evaluating a formula is a set of assignments for each state, associating node variables to actual nodes.

On Analysis of Boundness Property for ECATNets by Using Rewriting Logic
To analyze the behavior of Petri nets, the accessibility graph and Model Checking are widely used. However, if the analyzed Petri net is unbounded then the accessibility graph becomes infinite and Model Checking can not be used even for small Petri nets. ECATNets [2] are a category of algebraic Petri nets. The main feature of ECATNets is their sound and complete semantics based on rewriting log...
متن کاملA rewriting logic approach to the formal specification and verification of web applications
This paper develops a Rewriting Logic framework for the automatic specifica-tion and verification of Web applications that considers the critical aspects ofconcurrent Web interactions, browser navigation features (e.g., forward/back-ward navigation, page refresh, and new window/tab opening), and Webscript evaluation. By encompassing the main features of the most popularWeb s...
متن کاملMonitoring Programs Using Rewriting
We present a rewriting algorithm for efficiently testing future time Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) formulae on finite execution traces. The standard models of LTL are infinite traces, reflecting the behavior of reactive and concurrent systems which conceptually may be continuously alive. In most past applications of LTL, theorem provers and model checkers have been used to formally prove that dow...
متن کاملSpecification and Analysis of the AER/NCA Active Network Protocol Suite in Real-Time Maude
This paper describes the application of the Real-Time Maude tool and the Maude formal methodology to the specification and analysis of the AER/NCA suite of active network multicast protocol components. Because of the time-sensitive and resource-sensitive behavior and the composability of its components, AER/NCA poses challenging new problems for its formal specification and analysis. Real-Time ...
متن کاملSemantics and pragmatics of Real-Time Maude
At present, designers of real-time systems face a dilemma between expressiveness and automatic verification: if they can specify some aspects of their system in some automaton-based formalism, then automatic verification is possible; but more complex system components may be hard or impossible to express in such decidable formalisms. These more complex components may still be simulated; but the...
